Grue; A new magical alternative Christmas adventure is coming to the Old Parcels Office in Scarborough this December. Grue takes its name from an historic word for snow or shiver, and is a festive walk-through experience taking families on a journey through forest, town, sea and sky - And we need volunteers to help us build!

Community members can get involved in the project by attending building session - a creative, relaxed and fun workshop. You will get to create and build cardboard houses, trees and walls which will all become part of Grue. Templates and advice will be provided by world class artist Steve Wintercroft, so no experience is necessary.

We will provide scissors, gloves and cardboard on site, but if you have your own, feel free to bring those too.

The build days are suitable for the whole family, however those aged 12 and under will need to be supervised by a parent/guardian.

Wear layers just in case, and if you've got them, bring a water bottle and/or reusable coffee cup and we will fill them for you!

Good news! You can get involved from home too!

Due to popular demand, you can now build something for Grue at home! Below are links to 3 different A4 templates, provided by Steve Wintercroft, that you can access and print off and create yourself. Please ensure you only use brown cardboard!

Once you've finished your fabulous cardboard creation, you can drop them off at The Old Parcels Office Arts Space during one of our build sessions. Alternatively, you can email info@arcade-hello.com and we can arrange for you to drop your houses off at The Stephen Joseph Theatre.
