"It's like being on holiday for the first time and reading a book for the first time...I feel like I can do everything!”

Year 3 Pupil

Calling all daring 5-11 year olds, their teachers and families. Do you enjoy adventures? We need your help to solve clues, welcome time-travellers and write stories in this interactive, immersive experience.

It turns out that C.S Lewis was onto something with the Narnia books: Wardrobes really are portals between worlds. What dear old C.S might not have known is that most of these accidental wardrobe explorers end up in Scarborough: and it’s down to the town’s school children to help them out.

From the award-winning KIT Theatre ‘Wardrobes’ brings immersive theatre to Scarborough for hundreds of young audiences, teachers and families.

The adventure starts in Summer term 2021 at partner schools including St Peter’s RC Primary School; Gladstone Road Primary School; Springhead School and St George’s RC Primary School. More details coming soon.

The adventure continues in the Summer holidays for children aged 5-11 years and their families at More than Books community library, Eastfield. Open to everyone, no need to have taken part in school, booking opens 2021.

We are collaborating with Springhead School to embed access in the children’s experience of Wardrobes and ensure everyone can take part. More detailed access information will be published when booking opens for family experience.
