Autumn 2024

Spotlight Youth Theatre worked with artist, Diana Logan on the North York Moors Trust's Birds on the Edge Project. Through this project, young people visited Dalby Forest, and went on a residential trip, engaging in conservation and creative activities in nature. This culminated in a devised theatre piece by the young people inspired by their experiences in the North York Moors. This piece was performed to parents, guardians and members of the North York Moors Trust team.

Summer 2024

Spotlight Youth Theatre was led by West End musical performer and theatre director Alex Weatherhill, whose performance credits include international tours of Chigaco and Fiddler on the Roof, in their production of The Addams Family Young@Part. Based on the 1930s macabre comic, The Addams Family has inspired countless films and animations, most recently brought onto teenager’s radars by Netflix show Wednesday. Public performances took place on Friday 28 June, Saturday 29 June, Sunday 30 June at the Spotlight Theatre.
