The Summer Fields Festival day began with a motor-free 'Wonderful Wheels' community parade. Participants decorated bikes, scooters, skateboards, pushchairs, prams and even wheelie bins. Prizes were won on the day for the boldest, wildest, wackiest creations!
The Wonderful Wheels community parade journeyed through Tadcaster (with rolling road closures and safety stewards in place) arriving at the festival site in time for the start of the programme at 1pm.
There were loads of free activities for kids (and adults!) to take part in. Participants were grooving to the music, taking part in workshops for all ages, bringing a picnic or browsing the food vans, catching some brilliant theatre or simply chilling out with friends and family and enjoying the vibe.
