What happens when you take an internationally renowned street artist raised in a small rural town in Spain, to work with the young people in Tadcaster?

Tadcaster is now home to a striking triptych of co-created street art murals at Tadcaster Community Library, The Barn and Albion Community Football Ground created by street artist RICE working in collaboration with Tadcaster Primary Schools, and The Barn and Brewers youth group.

Created as part of Now Then!, a transformative programme powered by partnerships between The Barn, arts charity ARCADE, and other community groups. It brings artists and communities together across Selby, Sherburn and Tadcaster, giving free access to new experiences in a variety of artforms.

Now Then! Tadcaster Street Art Project

In May 2025, Now Then! and ARCADE had the pleasure of unveiling a mural at Albion Town Football Club, meaning that Tadcaster is now home to a series of three vibrant, co-created murals, thanks to a unique collaboration between internationally renowned street artist RICE and local children and young people.
