Tadcaster Young Producers

Tadcaster Young Producers worked across the Now Then! programme, gaining valuable experience of working in the arts.

They launched a podcast, completed an Arts Award, took volunteering and paid roles across the projects.

‘I’ve learned so much, planning, editing - the technical side, organising it in terms of story and structure, importing files, selecting tone of external audio, copyright restrictions, balancing levels… I had my own time to create as well - do what I wanted. I got my A levels results and I got into uni at Bath Spa doing Film and Screen Studies.’

Tadcaster Grammar School - You're Hired!

We delivered a Young Producers session to Year 9s at Tadcaster Grammar School as part of their careers day.

The ‘You’re Hired’ day brought students together to work We delivered a Young Producers session to Year 9s at Tadcaster Grammar School as part of their careers day.

The ‘You’re Hired’ day brought students together to work collaboratively in groups to develop creative ideas for a youth-focused area or activity which was then reflected into the Now Then! Summer Fields Festival, Tadcaster.

Students pitched their work to industry specialists from ARCADE, The Barn, Now Then! and York Mix. Awards were given by the panel for most creativity, best marketing strategy, best budget plan, best site plan, best overall pitch and most Tadcaster-ific!
