Young in Tad is a series of weekly creative workshops including beatboxing, parkour and photography for young men and boys in Tadcaster who attend The Barn Youth Centre. The young men worked with three artists to create their own work which reflects their experiences and interests.
The workshops culminated in an exhibition curated by the young men in a disused shop in Tadcaster at 43 Kirkgate.
Testament is an acclaimed writer, rapper and Guinness world record breaking human beatboxer based in West Yorkshire. His work ranges from spoken word poetry, playwriting and composition to essay writing, live beatboxing and radio presenting.
James 'Foggy' Fogerty is based in Castleford, an experienced facilitator as well as artist and theatre maker in his own right. He is the director of Hip Hop arts organisation SIN Cru, with 27 years of experience teaching breakin' from youth groups to professional dancers.
Matthew Storm is a freelance photographer in Whitby, Scarborough and North Yorkshire. His Documentary Photography has enabled him to work with a number of large organisations including the Youth Hostel Association and Sustrans.
