Letters to Amy, has been created by young women and non-binary people studying Games Design at the University of Hull.

The group visited the Museums to look at the collections, as well as researching other notable women in Hull's history. Amy Johnson stands out as a world famous female aviator from Hull. Amy was the first woman to qualify as a ground engineer and the first woman to fly solo from the UK to Australia.

The game allows you to click on the envelopes to read letters to Amy and to respond in the way you think she might. The letters are inspired by the real letters sent and received by Amy, but are not actual copies.

This project is part of a year long collaboration between Hull Museums and ARCADE, celebrating women within the collection.

Content warning - brief mention of divorce.

Letters to Amy, is presented by ARCADE & Hull Museums, funded by Arts Council England.
