YOUNG WOMEN'S CREATIVE COLLECTIVE
At St John's Burlington Church
28 SEPTEMBER - 30 NOVEMBER 2022
In April 2022 we started a new creative group in Bridlington for young women aged 16-25. The group had its roots in our successful Northern Girls project co-produced with Pilot Theatre and we just knew we had to keep working with brilliant women from the area.
In July 2022 the group performed as part of ‘The Bunker of Zion Tour’, a professional show co-produced by ARCADE and the national Collaborative Touring Network (CTN).
A joyous and colourful celebration of Zimbabwean culture and ancestry, the show played to sold out audiences in Bridlington. The YWCC completed weekly workshops, writing and developing their own pieces which were integrated into the piece.
After the success of the Bunker of Zion, we are continuing the group and working towards another project. We’d love for you to join us!
You don’t need any previous experience, just a positive attitude and a willingness to have a go. Weekly workshops might include writing, performing, movement of song - but everything is creative! It’s a friendly, welcoming, non-judgmental environment. And it’s FREE to take part.
We’ll be meeting Wednesday evenings 6pm-8pm at St John’s Burlington Methodist Church in Bridlington.
Dates are as follows:
2 NOVEMBER 2022
9 NOVEMBER 2022
16 NOVEMBER 2022
23 NOVEMBER 2022
30 NOVEMBER 2022
