The Call-Out

The call for young superheros went out...

“Touretteshero needs you! Bring your ideas, excitement and energy to celebrate difference and save the world from excessive dullness. Join us for a relaxed, free, accessible, multi-sensory experience for disabled and non-disabled children (and their grown up sidekicks).”

The Result

Just over 50 children from Scarborough came and surrounding areas came along and discovered their powers, created their own superhero identity, and used their imaginations to change the world.

Touretteshero and her team were on hand to help the young heroes transform through masks, costume, moves and photography.

ACCESS

Take a look at the social story for Heroes of the Imagination

Mobiloo was with us for the day: a mobile changing places toilet.

The workshop took place on the Ground Floor of the Gallery which has level access and is wheelchair accessible.

Here's just a small selection of some of the incredible superheroes from our magical photo studio.
